Chelsea are hoping to extend their winning form under Maurizio Sarri when they travel to Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.

Sarri predicted it would take a few months for the Blues to really take flight under his tutelage but two wins from two with six goals scored suggests things are already beginning to click.

Alvaro Morata has even rediscovered his scoring touch, finding the back of the net last time out in the 3-2 win over Arsenal.

Newcastle meanwhile picked up their first point of the season away at Cardiff last Saturday, with Kenedy passing up the opportunity to wrap up all three points when he missed from the penalty spot in injury time.

Eden Hazard started Chelsea’s first two matches on the bench having only returned to training a week before the new season kicked off. The Belgium international has still managed to register two assists in that time however with Sarri indicating the 27-year-old could be ready to start on Tyneside.

DeAndre Yedlin will be back in contention after recovering from a knee problem but Florian Lejeune remains a long-term absentee.
